Hi, my name is Valentina Arecy and I am currently a junior here at BSU - Class of 2013.  For most of my life I have lived in Boston, MA.  For now I am majoring in Business Management.  I am 19 years old and I am living the life that I love.  I am smart, respectful, shy, and silly at times, and love to have fun.  I love to travel, to dance, and to eat.  So far I am enjoying my experience here at Bridgewater State University and looking forward to a successful college experience.

Hi, my name is Helder Almeida, and I am currently a junior at Bridgewater state university majoring is mathematics and minor in secondary education. I was born in Cape Verde and moved to Massachusetts when I was 5 years old. As of right now my college experience is great. I am the president of the Cape Verdean Student Association and Public Relations of Men Integrated Brotherhood. My goal is to obtain as much preparation for the future as I can from BSU.  Hopefully one day I will be able to accomplish my dreams and educate others…

Hi, my name is Marize Gomes.  I'm from Jamaica Plain, Boston.  I'm originally from Cape Verde.  I am a junior here at BSU!  My college experience has been phenomenal from my freshman year to Now.  I am grateful to all who helped me through everything. My major is Accounting and Finance, with a minor in Criminal Justice. Also doing five years program in accounting to get my master, hopefully all goes well. One of the hardest things about college is deciding what you want to do for the rest of your life.  I am an outstanding young woman who's clever, enthusiastic, studious, funny, athletic, persistent, and adventurous; foregoing list! My family, my close friends is my inspiration and my guardians.  They empowered me to see what I can do and to explore what the world has to offer me. Thanking God for all good and all that I am!!

Hey everyone! My name is Jenelee Tejeda and I am a Sophomore here at BSU. I am a double major in Spanish and Global Management. I am also planning on minoring in Finance. I recently received my license in Real Estate, so during the off school season I am a Real Estate Agent in Boston. Currently, I am the secretary of La Sociedad Latina. I am also a member of CVSA (Cape Verdean Student Association) and I try my best to support all other clubs by attending their events.

Hi, my name is Keshelle Dolly. I am 20 years old, come from a Trinidadian background but was born and raised in Boston, Ma. I’m a very shy (at times), dedicated, caring, easy going person. I love to crack jokes, laugh and just enjoy life. My favorite hobbies are listening to music, dancing, shopping, hanging with friends, and reading. I am currently a junior here at BSU and majoring in Psychology. With my Psychology degree I hope to work somewhere in the field with children, or go in a different route and become a pediatrician. My strength and inspiration to continue on come from my strong mother and grandmother who push and support me through everything. On campus I participate in activities such as a dance team, Afro-Am, and currently I am the secretary for the club United Caribbean Culture.

My name is Bereket Sirmollo, and I'm from Jamaica plain, MA. I am originally from Ethiopia and grew up there. I am a junior here at Bridgewater State University and so far I wouldn't change anything.  I actually live on campus in the student apartment and I love my single room. At this moment, I am majoring in accounting and my minor is management. in my free time, I love to play soccer (specially in the rain), read books, listen to gospel songs and just chill with friends. but what I love the most is spending time with the family and my church people.
