Yara Cardosa, FAM Program Assistant
Yara Cardoso is a senior majoring in General Management with a Minor in Accounting and Finance. Yara enjoys helping others, and being involved in the community. This year Yara is working as a Student Trustee with the BSU Foundation Board and a L.I.N.K.S. Mentor with the Center for MultiCultural Affairs. In her spare time she enjoys singing and spending time with her family.
Lila Handy, Volunteer Program Assistant
Lila is a senior, double majoring in elementary education and Spanish here at BSU. This is Lila's second year working in the office and previously, Lila served as a Jumpstart corps member. She is a kind person, who loves to be involved in her community. In her free time she enjoys dancing, reading and basketball.
Rich Henderson, Volunteer Program Assistant
Rich Henderson is a senior majoring in Psychology hoping to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector after graduating from Bridgewater. He has been very involved in service on campus by holding multiple leadership positions in BSU's Circle K International chapter, serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for Jumpstart, and participating in Alternative Break Trips to North Carolina, Belize, and Washington, DC.
Brian Kelleher-Calnan, FAM Program Assistant
Brian is a Junior majoring in Sociology with a minor in Civic Education and Community Leadership. He is a mentor and program assistant in the FAM for Change program. Brian has participated in local, national and international BSU community service events and is honored to be working in the Community Service Center.
Athena Liousas, Jumpstart Volunteer Coordinator
Athena is a junior majoring in Elementary Education and Spanish. This will be Athena's third year working for the Jumpstart Program; first as a Corps Member, then as an Office Assistant, and now the Volunteer Coordinator. In her spare time, Athena likes to continue her service as she also volunteers at the Family Life Center in Brockton and to simply spend time with close family and friends.
Melissa Oquendo, Volunteer Program Assistant
Melissa is a sophomore this year majoring in Sociology. She is new to the office and looking forward to the opportunity to do service. Melissa enjoys traveling, doing community service and trying new and cultural foods. Melissa hopes that she will be able to work at a nonprofit in the future.
Clifford Martin, Volunteer
Program Assistant
Cliff is a senior here at Bridgewater State University and majoring in Management. Cliff enjoys taking part in multiple intramural sports including softball, volleyball, basketball and even Family Feud. After graduation, Cliff hopes to work in the public housing sector. Cliff has done many community service projects in the past and is excited to now be part of the staff.
Ericka Parker, Jumpstart Program Assistant
Ericka Parker is a junior here at BSU. She is a social work major and a psychology minor. She was a Jumpstart Corps member for two years and currently is the Jumpstart's program assistant. Erika has done many hours of community service since her freshman year and truly loves all the programs the community center has to offer. Erika is excited to be working in the office and loves being a part of the Community Service Center's family.
Jeffery Richardson, Volunteer Program Assistant
Jeff Richardson is Social Work major with a minor in Criminal Justice. Every year so far that he has attended Bridgewater State University, he has participated in Alternative Break trips in both New York and Arizona. He is a part of the Kappa Delta Phi fraternity here on campus. In his free time, he enjoys listening to hip hop music and writing his own hip hop music, as well as watching the NCIS series on television.
