  1. How do I get a BSU Username and Password?
    Contact Information Technology x1236 for a BSU Username and Password.
  2. Can I get off-campus access to the databases?
    Yes. Go to the Maxwell Library Information Network and click the box at the bottom for off-campus access. You will be asked to enter your BSU username and password.
  3. What do I need to check out books?
    You need a BSU Connect card. You can obtain one at the Connect Card office in Hunt Hall.
  4. For how long can I check out a book?
    Faculty may check out up to 50 items for four months. For more information see the Circulation web page.
  5. How do I use Document Delivery (Interlibrary loan)?
    To request books or journal articles that Maxwell Library does not own, go to the library's InterLibrary Loan system website, log in and fill out the online request form accordingly. Or go to the Document Delivery office located in room 113 on the first floor of Maxwell Library. You will be notified when the materials come in.
  6. How do I schedule library instruction for my class?
    Contact the Reference desk at x 1394 or fill out an online form from the library's homepage.
  7. How do I put items on Reserve for my class.
    Please see our webpage regarding reserve policies or contact the circulation department at x1392.
  8. Can I photocopy non-circulating materials for my class?
    Yes, faculty can use the staff photocopier behind the circulation desk to make copies of non-circulating materials.
  9. Who is my department liaison?

  10. How can I suggest an addition to the collection?
    Fill out the online form from the library homepage for acquisitions requests.
  11. Can I check out non-circulating materials?
    Occasionally faculty may check out reference material for a short-term loan period. Ask at the reference desk. Faculty may also, at the discretion of the periodicals department, check out periodicals for short-term loan.
