During summer sessions, Math Services offers limited tutoring services to students enrolled in summer courses, as well as review workshops for incoming students hoping to improve their mathematics placement.
Free tutoring is available in the Hart Hall 118 Student Lounge during the summer, and not the Academic Achievement Center. Hart Hall is adjacent to Burnell and Moakley Halls, and all summer math courses are held in this complex. Look for the Math Services sign.
Tutors will be on duty
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.
and may be visited without an appointment.
If you have not taken a college-level math course at BSU, you will be assigned your first-semester math course based on several placement factors:

Students wishing to review mathematics content over the summer in preparation to take or re-take the Accuplacer Elementary Algebra placement test may register for a 6-Cess Math Review Course. Follow this link for more information. The cost of this course is $20.00, and is inclusive of re-testing fees.

The College of Education and Allied Studies offers a summer prep course for current BSU students taking the General Curriculum MTEL Math Subtest on July 14, 2012.
The prep course dates are as follows.
The workshops are free to those who attend all four. A fee of $50.00 will be charged for each unexcused absence.
