WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM ATTENDING THE ORFF WORKSHOP

  • LEARN to use and understand the Orff Schul-werk approach. Discover Orff as a process of experiencing exploration, imitation, improvisation, and creation, through movement, speech and music. You don't need a classroom full of Orff instruments to be an Orff-inspired teacher.

  • EXPERIENCE new activities and ideas to use with your own elementary and/or middle school students.

  • SHARE ideas that work in the classroom with other experienced teachers and with trained Orff instructors.

  • UPDATE your knowledge of current music education issues with special topics related to classroom teaching.

  • ACQUIRE new materials and equipment that will be available through West Music, Coralville, Iowa.

  • EARN three credits (graduate or undergraduate) and Orff certification at Level I and II.
